What a weekend!

Where does the time go. Hard to believe so much as occurred in such little time. Rehearsal on Friday, grad and grad dinner on Saturday and family party on today. So much, so little time. It's all so overwhelming.

The grad, well actually it was only a recognizition ceremony, but that's not the point, went well. It was just a small 1 hour ceremony. We got out little pledges and moment of glory and that's about it. I left right after it, even though there was food and cake and all that jazz. I had other things to do any ways, so I slipped out the back door.

The dinner was on the river rouge. We were supposed to be on the paddlewheel queen but that boat was being repaired so we were moved to the river rouge. That turned out to be a rip off, I hope we were compensated for the change. Instead of tables of 8 we were in small booths that sat 4 and by the time Theresa and I go there, there was only one booth left, so we sat alone. Mind you that wasn't too bad because with the booths being small, we had all the room we wanted. It was still enjoyable though. I just feel it could have been better. The stares got a little on my nerves. I just hate when people assume one thing, drives me nuts but whatever, I'll never have to see those people again (well essentially). Ah well.

After the boat ride there was a party but I didn't feel like going, so Theresa came over to watch ALIAS. Yes you heard me, she finally agreed she'd give it a shot, woo hoo!!! (plus that was before the alcohol) In the end she was so sleepy that she didn't make it through the pilot, lol. Oh well there is always another time...mwhahahah.

After taking Theresa home, I went to see a screening of "The Forgotten." Theresa was coming but she was too sleepy (hence me taking her home earlier). The movie was bad. I missed the beginning, but I don't think it was a big loss. It was just stupid. Parts of it were good and made you ponder, but the end just totally ruined it. I can't even explain how retarded the end and last half of movie were. Just tasteless. I expected more and better, thankfully I didn't pay for it.

Today was my little family party though. It actually was larger than I expected. I was even given generous gifts, even though I said no gifts. It was a little overwhelming. My little 19 months old cousin came and he's grown so much since I last saw him. He's walking (more like running) and even talking. The world is going around me so fast that I can't keep up. It was really fun though. I enjoyed it all. I tried to visit with everyone but there were so many people it was a little hard. But I had a great time.

So, the last of my guests have left just a little while ago and I'm exhausted. Now it's clean-up time, yuck. That's the only draw back from having a get together. You spend all day cleaning the house in preparation and then by the end of the night you're back to cleanig up, lol. Oh well it's almost always worth it.

Now it's back to the clean up, seeing how they haven't noticed I snuck away, I best be on my way back...

later days...
