Crazy day from hell

ACK!! What a crazy day. I didn't even get home until almost 5:30. CRAZY!!

My day was really horrible, simply horrible.

The receptionist, I thought, was going to be staying all day, but didn't. Mid-afternoon, when it got really nuts, the other receptionist was sent over to me, because I was so crazy. As it was I didn't finish with patients until 4:45 (and that was an hour after we stopped accepting any more patients). It was just crazy.

I fogged all my film (meaning I left my film drawer open, while I turned on a light, leaving the film completely useless and destroyed). Of course this is a horrible, bad thing to do because you waste film. Lucky me, I did that. Never, ever have I done that, until today. I was just so frazzled and not thinking when I did it too. Really pissed me off by this point. So I had to unload all the film in the bin (5-6 new packages have to be opened too). It was a nightmare.

First of all, my first patient is for an EKG (of course, what are the chances of something that I dread comes first...grr). Any ways, it takes me forever to be satisfied with the results. Remember I've only really seen this done once before so I'm just trying to wing it, sort of. Quite a bit of EKGs were also done. I was expecting it but still. Plus they were taking more time they should have, so that put me behind. It just was not my day. Any ways, by the end of the day I got the hang of EKGs (well 90% sure of it), but still yikes!

I can't even remember what else went wrong, but there was more and I was just completely ready to give up by 10:15. It was horrible. I was just not on my ball today. Must have been from the horrible night of sleep. I swear I woke up every hour so worried about these EKGs. I'm crazy I know.

Any hoos, I'm off to relax a little bit (seeing how I barely got any of that today) before I hit the treadmill.
