Thanksgiving Quotes..
Warning the following is for those who are crazy at heart. Mind this is my relatives and we're all crazy. But it was fun, where else can you get hiliarious quotes. It helped my comedian cousin get jokes for his routine. Any ways here we go...
- "You had me at John Deere"
Story behind quote: One of my female cousin's (we'll refer to her as B) brought her boyfriend (M, as I will further be calling him) to thanksgiving. During dessert my cousin B was helping pass out the pieces of pie. She knocked his over when she placed it on the table. So we were teasing both B and M about it and how B should eat it because she knocked it over. Well M told B that he'd get her back. Well I guess behind the scenes my mom dabbed whipping cream on her cheek because B was laughing at knocking over the pie from the plate onto the table. [yes you really do need all this for the quote] Any ways B sat at the table and being funny M put some whipping cream on B's nose. This did not go over well. She went storming out and went power walking. [side note: this is why I say i will never have a november baby, they're all crazy, she is one and so is my brother's gf. They're all nuts. But maybe it's just a Nov. 1986 thing]. M sits at the table letting B cool off, mind you she's powerwalking. Finally he goes trailing after her, eventually taking the van out to get her. We're in a small rural town, so it wouldn't be hard to find her. Any ways, while he was doing that, A and J (my other cousins and B's older sisters) and myself were joking around and saying that M should use our grandpa's John Deere to go and get her. We remarked at how funny that would be seeing how we're in Hick's town. Any ways My cousin A said if any guy came after her with a John Deere she'd probably be his forever [I warned you we're all crazy in my family]. So then J said A would probably be "You had me at John Deere." It was hiliarious. In case you don't get it, it was a play on the movie 'Jerry Maguire.' In the movie Tom Cruise's Character's love interest tells him that "you had me at hello." Regardless of what any of you say, it's hiliarious.
- "Did you know the guy that owns Loblaw's is named Bob? Imagine for a second that your name is Bob Loblaw, talk about confusing. Say it fast enough and people will thing you're mumbling. I'm Bob Loblaw. You might as well be saying BlahBlahBlah."
Story behind quote: Ok well there really isn't any sort of story, it's pretty much straight forward. Just say it outloud enough times and you'll see how funny it is. You might need to hear other say it though. It's funny.
- "I don't understand how he can answer all those questions about movies and music. He's Mormon."
Story behind quote: I already explained this one but it's still hiliarious. My grandma is refering to that Ken guy on Jeopardy. She's just funny with her logic sometimes.
