Waiting sucks

Day 23 and still no word. I'm literally going out of my mind waiting. Every morning when I wake up, it's the first thing on my mind. When go to bed at night, it's the last thing I think of. While I sleep, it's on my mind. You see where I'm going with this? This career balancing in the wind is not fun. Health concerns I can handle waiting. This I can't. *deep cleansing breath* It will be over soon, yes siree bob.

Watched 'Super-Size Me' earlier today. My goodness, that guy was nuts. Seriously put that food into perspective. I don't eat out often as it is, but after seeing that I doubt I'd be going out for food any time soon. Some of the results that were concluded from that little experiment are scary. In case you haven't seen it, the basic storyline involves this guy named Morgan and his quest to prove fast food can cause serious damage to one's body. It was actually a documentary and it's just nuts. This guy ate McDonalds food, 3 times a day for a month. It was digusting just watching him. You can only begin to imagine what happened to his body. I shudder at the thought.

The documentary was brilliant, but at what cost to his body. It's frightening to see what happened to him. I can't even imagine people actually eating like that everyday and thinking it's ok. Yikes! I enjoyed the movie though. The most digusting thing was one of the bonus features involved putting mcdonalds food in seperate jars to show how they would break down in your body in comparasion to a regular burger and fries. Suffice it to say, it was nasty. After 5 weeks, the regular burger and fries were thrown out, and after about 10 weeks everything else was too. The sick part was that the mcdonalds fries remained unchanged in that time. They looked as if they'd just been bought. How digusting is that? Gross! The plan was to leave the fries until they rotted but they were mistakenly throw out, but imagine that in your gastrointestinal tract? The fact that they didn't break down sitting by in a jar for 10 weeks with no change. Creepy stuff.
