{..::Topic::..}: Appointments never go as planned

Today was my appointment with occupational health. How long could it take? If it was anything like my other appointment earlier this week then maybe 30 minutes at the most, right?

WRONG!! So very Wrong!

I get there a little earlier and have to fill out a form. Ok that's fine. Then I have to wait a few minutes to be called in. Nurse goes over all my forms, height (whoo! according to them I'm 5'0", lol I'll take it), weight, yadda yadda. I think I'm finished, turns out nope. I still have to go to registration and register for a occupational file. UGH!!

It's already 11 by this time and my appointment was at 10:30. My poor mom brought me because we figured if it was anything like last time, I'd be in and out in 20 minutes. Wrong, so very wrong. I went to registration and had to wait over a half hour to get in and all they did was validate my info, etc.. Then I'm to return to occupational health.

Back there I go. Sit a few more minutes, go over a bit more stuff. At this point, I'm getting really antsy because my mom is waiting outside for me (and her cellphone was turned off, of course). The nurse tells me I need to now get some bloodwork done and almost had me do a mantoux test (just ensure I'm still vaccinated against TB). I told her I'll do that one next week. Luckily the lab line was non-existant and I was in and out in 10 minutes.

I finally got to the car at 11:50. My poor mom, sat in the car that whole time. Just our luck. No one told me it would take that long. When leaving the nurse told me "yeah, we usually tell people it will take a full lunch hour." They couldn't have told me that when I phoned? grrr. Oh well now all that is taken care of. Now I have to get my two comps and I can work, yay! Money, money, money, mon-ney!
