Life is funny

Turns out, my rain turned into a drought. I actually ended up doing nothing with my friends, either party. When the time was changed from the morning to evening for the taste of manitoba, obviously I couldn't go because of it being my dad's birthday and us going out. Mind you he did tell me I should go, but that's a whole other issue and story that I won't bore you all with. Then my other plans fell through because we waited so long in making plans. Just too funny.

Busy day though. Barely a moment to myself. I was rudely awakened because my family wanted to give my dad his presents. I clearly stated that I did not wish to wake up until tomorrow, but I lost. Then we were running around town picking up this and that. Then we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. Cute server, food so-so. Not a big spaghetti fan mind you, but I was sort of hoping I could get a garlic alfredo type of meal, nope. Oh well the chicken parmaigana was good too. Couldn't walk after it though. Too much food. I'm still in pain actually and it's been over 3 hours. Damn you screwed up bowels!!! But I digress..

Oh and I've also hooked up our old NES system. Yes, you read right. The good 'ol 1980s gaming system called Nintendo. Turns out that although I thought it was broken it wasn't. The rhf cable we used to hook it up was broken, but we can use the a/v connector and it works. YAY!! Now I can play Super Mario Brothers 3 (well if I can find the games). I'm so jazzed now. I blame Erin. She's the one that brought up NES and that made me want to play ours, but I knew it was broken but I found it and obviously not the case. So yippee.
