Life as we know it... sort of
Well another week down.
Let's all sit down in a circle and share our week, shall we?
Ok everybody, I'll start.
Hi!
My name is Baby C (aka Chriss/Chrissy) and I've had a busy week.
Let's sum it all up. So much I've forgotten to post about too, so we'll get to all that.
First of all.
Ken Jennings. Remember him? The mormon, in which my grandma is convinced is being paid off and has no clue how a 'mormon' can know so much about pop culture. hehe. Any ways, well he finally lost on Jeopardy this week. Strangely though, it landed right on the 75th episode. Strange, desu ne? Hmmmm. Any ways, it was hiliarious to see him lose, although the woman's face was a hell of a lot more entertaining to see when she learnt she won. I'm still convinced something was more to that guy that meets the eye..... but at least no more Ken Jennings, phew!
I still haven't watched wednesday's episode of LOST. I'm ashamed of myself. I couldn't wait to see it and yet here it's Friday and I have yet to see it. I'm just sickened with myself. I've been dying to see it and I have not yet. What is wrong with me. Plus it's an Emilie deRavin episode so maybe that's it. I mean she was a skanky alien slut on Roswell, but still she's so adorable in life. Plus it's great to hear her talk in her original voice (although it sometimes slipped out on Roswel). Oh well, after this post I'm going to watch that episode, come hell or high waters!
Made a dent in shopping. Ok maybe not a dent, persay, but more of a pin-poke. Everyone likes coal and IOUs, right? hehe? Ok maybe not, fine...some day I'll make it out, but don't hold me to that! But according to my counter on here I have 76 days left, so no rush, lol. Of course to me the counter is telling me 21 days but hey if Lynnsey thinks it's 76, ok by me.
Work finally picked up. Most of this week, I rarely had any patients. One day I had a total of 10 people. That's almost an hour per person. Today was not like that. Clost to 30 people today, that's a little more normal. Busy but that's ok, it sure makes the day pass by faster. Plus no freaky armpits to look at, whoo!
Bigger news, I get two christmases. Yay! Turns out my grandparents want to go out of town christmas weekend (to spend it with an uncle of mine who lives in Saskatchewan). Christmas will now be the weekend before, and I will refer to it as grandparent-christmas.. Christmas is closer that means, AH!!!! Dang it! Actually this christmas is really only so my grandparents can see our faces opening our gifts. Lots of family though.
Then actual christmas we're going to spend it with my aunt (same aunt who is having everyone over for grandparent-christmas), which is nice. My dad was in such a foul mood after my grandparents mentioned that they want to be in Sask. for christmas. See, my dad doesn't have much family here. Actually he really only has one sister in town and she's a real busybody so we've never spent christmas with her and her family. We have a dinner together and everything, but never spent actual christmas eve or christmas dinner with them (except last year). For years and year they had plans with their friends and such so we just found it easier to get together some time around the holiday season. So if christmas was a weekend earlier, we'd be SOL for actual christmas.
Christmas would be ironic though. See my brother actually booked christmas off (the first time in maybe 3 years). But now that it's earlier, he'd not be there because of work. Any ways, as I was saying with christmas being earlier, my mom was thinking (or assuming) that her sister (the aunt that is having grandparent-christmas) would go and spend christmas day with her husband's side of the family. See most families juggle between in-laws every year, usually one year at her side and one at his, or whatever. For me, it's always been my maternal grandparents because well they're still alive. So in end my aunt is still going to have us come over on actual christmas (because she knows if not, we'll do nothing which is true because my dad was so cranky he wanted to go and spend christmas in grand forks). It was a little tense last night, but it's all good now. So now I get two christmases, yay!
Plus best of all, today is pay day!! WOO! Except I thought I'd get more from my job. Man, this sucks. I'm so used to the hospital wage that this sucks, plus they take so much off for taxes, grr! Oh well, next paycheck will make it all worth while. *sigh of relief*
Plus I made my christmas baking list. Seems I'm going to be going bake crazy next week. Scary!!! Too much calories are dancing in my head...Oh well it's the holidays.
Now if only I could finish decorating the house.....
any ways I really should go and watch lost. Plus I have to decide if I want to buy some shirts online (the dollar is doing so well that it's totally worth it)!
Well later dayz!
