Two posts in one day....Doubles the whole month's total

December 27th already? According to all calendars this is true, so it must be. I wish it felt like that. I guess since "growing-up" the holidays don't feel the same. Not to mention now that my mom works and has been for the past 5 christmases it just has not been the same.

This is my conclusion, without being in school to look forward to a full two weeks off and my mom not being a Christmas Nazi, it's all so different. Plus no more going to my grandparents for Christmas. The last time we had Christmas at their house was back in 2001, since then it's always been here in the city. It's all so weird.

I even did all the christmas baking, but it never hit me that christmas was here. Maybe it's my cold? This cold has been horrible. I have never felt so dead in my life. It just won't end. I finally get 4 days off and I spend them all sick hacking up a lung. All that said and done, Christmas was alright. Being sick and finding out crappy things on Christmas, doesn't make it all that enjoyable looking back, but *shrug* no worries.

I was spoiled, as usual. Mind you I did know of two of my gifts before Christmas. No, not because I was snopping (I haven't done that in years - maybe that's why it doesn't feel like christmas), but because my mom screamed into the phone the one item and the other time I opened the door and my brother was carrying the gift. Totally ruined it for myself and I wasn't even trying, how sucky is that?

I received a bunch of cool things though. A stereo that can play mp3s, and it's really flat and sleek (yes! finally!), a paraffin wax bath (for nice and soft hands), manicure/pedicure spa kit, more cocktail glasses, a nice glass pitcher, 2 sets of sugar and creamers (which I think I already had a set), movies/tv (alas no Veronica Mars or Alias *fingers crossed for birthday), a cookie press, and some cool seat covers for my car.

Plus I got awesome prezzies from my friends. Theresa gave me my George Foreman grill — which makes awesome grill cheeses, fyi. Lynnsey gave me Titanic, which is awesome because it has an alternative ending (haven't watched it yet, but it looks cool) and this means no more having to get up and switch tapes in the middle of watching the movie, score! Carla gve me some silicon oven mitt type of ideas (totally cool) and an IOU for 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 1, which totally rocks!!! I can't wait to sit down and watch the first season again. Only a little under 2 months, woo hoo!! I am far too lucky for these awesome friends. *hugs all around*

Catalina: [shaking her head side-to-side] That means nothing.
Randy: To you, maybe. But to an American it means Christmas in Mexican.

Christmas Trivia

I stole this idea completely from some other blog. I don't remember whos, heck it may have even been from a livejournal, I'm not sure.

Any hoos, the idea is to post a set number of screencaps from your favorite movies. I think it was around 20 of your most favorite movies and then you try and get visitors to try and guess these movies from the screencaps.

So without futher ado, I give you the Christmas Edition of "Guess this Movie"

The Sonnet
Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLDf)

Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed?

Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.

Your exact opposite:
Genghis Khunt

Random Brutal Sex Master
Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so.

You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.

ALWAYS AVOID: The 5-Night Stand, The False Messiah, The Hornivore, The Last Man on Earth

CONSIDER: The Loverboy
