{..::Topic::..}: When did life become so boring?

Sadly enough, life is way too boring lately, maybe yearly. As I approach the end to yet again another year, I can't help but to look back. I often think back to what I thought this new year was going to be about and what new and exciting things could happen. Sadly, I don't think anything all that exciting or riviting did occur. To put it bluntly, nothing has changed. Same friends, same house, same everything. Only difference I'm working in the hospital and studying instead of just plain studying and I got more health issues. Well I did get some new cousins, but doesn't really have all that much to do with me.

Any ways, so as the story goes every year starts out the same, except last year. Last year's New Year's Eve rocked. Hung out with the girls and had a blast. This year it's back to the mundane and uneventful, ringing in the New Year alone, sucks to be me. Actually I have top my previous years. I'm now an even bigger loser than before. I'm spending my New Year's Eve doing homework and hanging out with my parents. YIKES!!! I should not be doing that at 21, it's really sad. Actually I do have two dates, unforunately they are both bitches. LOL, really they are. One's a sassy poodle and the other is a llapso terrier X (I think). It's just keeps getting more and more sad as the day/night goes on. Sure I'll laugh at this one day, but it's pretty depressing right now. Oh well I shall survive and life with go on.

{..::Topic::..}: Holidays are exhausting

It's a good thing Christmas only comes once a year, phew. Things have been insane since Christmas Eve. All the visiting of family and cleaning. Ugh, seriously how many times do I have to clean one room. But I did get to spend all of Christmas night with my cute little 7 month old cousin. He's just too adorable for words, and so curious which was good because it allowed me ot entertain him while his parents played dominoes with the rest of the family. Funny thing is that kid will not sleep. It's the weirdest thing. It was almost 11 o'clock and the little bugger was still wide awake and full of energy (I was a sort of Jolly-jumper for the kid). So cute though.

Christmas was good though. Got my prized Alias season 2 DVDs (so no more A2 references to my mother, darn) and my Buffy Season 5 DVDs. Lots of DVDs to watch, plus I also got Spaceballs on DVD, yay. So if civilization doesn't see me again, they know why. Plus I got a mini disc player, totally surprised me though which was great. Suffice it to say, I got spoiled royally this year. Only problem I have is that I don't know what to ask for my birthday now. That's the only problem with having a birthday less than a month away from Christmas, if you're satisfied at christmas there really isn't much room for gifts at birthdays. Tough I know, lol.

I have also concluded that Boxing day no longer exists in my life. Every year I've been dragged out and never find anything. Sure enough, this year was no exception. Many pretty things, but no money to use. Everyone else in my family got stuff though, so yay for them. But seeing how I hate when stores are jam packed and people extremely pushy, I did not enjoy this experience. Nothing like being dragged out, getting nothing and being pushed and shoved out of the way. Seesh.

I've also decided that my computer needs to be blown up. I have to reformat it because the printer still doesn't work, so sadly that is my plan for the night, oh yay. Oh well, it'll just be another late friday night. Although I must say I rather enjoyed last Friday more. Maybe it was because I got to see Orlando Bloom (not enough though!). That rocked. Having a brother work at the theater kicks ass. No crowds or anything. Just him and the staff seeing the movie at 12:30. So needless to say it was almost 5 am when I got to bed that night, but it was seriously worth it. Now I get to see it another few times this break. Sadly there is only one week left and so much to do, ahhh...

Any ways off to reformat my computer...later gators...

So much has gone on since the last post but that's ok, it's all good now. So here is the summary, computer hates me, printer hates me, baked cookies and other goodies, got new monitor, turned into the oncoming traffic lane and didn't release at first, finished christmas shopping and cleaning. Phew. I think that's about it, but hey you never know. I still have a list of about a million things to do. Man, oh man. Nevertheless, there are two weeks free of school and work, so I'm just estatic at that though, yippee!

Well christmas is only 2 days away, and I can hardly believe it. Christmas time used to feel so different, than it does now. I guess that just comes with getting older. Remember when it was two weeks of glorious free time, where your only concern was what to ask Santa for or what sort of gifts you getting? Well now it's more like, finally two weeks where I don't have to work and that's the only thing on your mind. It's all so strange, but hey c'est la vie.
