Is it Friday yet?

Apparently I still have 56 minutes until it reaches the "end of the week," and quite frankly that is not soon enough.

I wish I could get the number for Karma, because it seems I'm on some sort of Karma hit list. Yikes! It's been a weird day, and not the good kind of weird.

My day got off on the wrong foot straight from the beginning. I was late leaving because my toaster believes when toasting bread, you simply need to burn it. Two pieces later, I had a slightly edible version. Next was the body chucking poodle. She really believes the way into a room is to throw her body at doors. Later after work my mom told me how my dog took my door stop and threw it at her door. Funny dog. I still made it to work on time though.

Pure chaos there though. All that demolishing is wreaking havoic everywhere. It's just a mess. Our coffee room, or rather 'nook' if you can even call it that, is just in shambles, it's sad. It's just a big mess. Unfinished floors, walls, etc.. Lots of dusts, boo! Oh well.

Luckily enough I started to fax the reports this morning, because apparently I wasn't going to get a receptionist, again. Grr. Oh well, there was nothing I could do about it. Just deal with it. At least the morning went ok.

The afternoon, well the same cannot be said about that. Let's just say at on point I was shaking my head making overload sounds. You know the sound where you're shaking your head in a 'no' fashion and sort of going loose lipped and blowing air and making sounds, like a dog shaking after a bath. The contractors now fully think I'm nuts, but that's ok. Just chalk it up to my 'embarassing work stories.'

It was actually really crazy because I didn't leave work until 5:30, an hour late. It took me almost an hour to get all the files. Scary. Oh well it's behind me, I hope. The only solice I had was that I could go home and have a nice long hot shower....Wrong. My mom has decided to recaulk the bathroom. So no shower. It's like a mess with me day. Plus my mom was all on my case about not getting home on time (mockingly though). Just crazy.

Other than that my day was good. Rented some movies and season two of 'Six Feet Under.' I'm rather enjoying this show. It's a little bit weird and over the top, but I really enjoy it. I'm almost halfway through season one. Boy are the dvds expensive though. It's like carnivale. Near $100 for each season. CRAZY!!! I love my computer ;) hee hee

More to come on TV premieres and such ... plus I had some funny antedotes to post, but sadly I'm so wiped out that I can't even remember what they were. They will come back to me, and when they do you know where to find them.

Toodle-loo!

OMG I'm a loser

...No not really.

Two really funny stories from work. First one is really embarrassing, ok not that bad.

I swear, somedays I should just not be allowed out in public settings. It was the end of the day and I was talking with my receptionist (not Alf, the other one) about my loathing of scrub pants. Yes you read correctly. I can't stand scrub pants. I'm sure I've mentioned this before. This isn't the embarrassing part though.

So, yak yak yak. I decide to go on why I loathe scrub bottoms. Now comes the embarrassing part. I lowered my scrub pants a little bit lower (get your minds out of the gutter, seesh), and was demonstrating my point. By doing this the inseam or what I refer to as the "crotch" of the pants gets lower to almost halfway between my hip and knees. I sort of grabbed that part of the pants going "see, the crotch of my pants are like halfway down to my knees, not a becoming look." Keep in mind, my final patient chooses to come out of the changing room at just that instant. Talk about wanting to die on the spot.

Here's the less embarrassing story. It's one of those 'I-could-kick-myself-right-now' moments.

Any one who knows me, knows that I think I recognize everyone. Whether it be only in name or actual face, I swear I've seen them before, I'm almost always positive. Unforunately for my sanity, 90% of the time, I'm wrong.

Today, I can gladly say, I reached the coveted 10 percent. Yep. I was actually on the ball this time.

Back to the story. I came back from lunch, as I do everyday, as much as I don't want to, but hey I have bills to pay. Take my first patient into the x-ray room. He's hot, and I mean really hot not just because of his hotness, but because he was such a sweetheart. I swear his smile just made me melt, that kind of guy. Those rare guys.

Just as I'm going to develop some of his x-ray films, ensuring no repeats are required (like that would be a bad thing *wink, wink*), I think to myself that this guy seems oddly familiar. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I just figured I imagined it and was on crack, like I always do.

My receptionist arrives and she notices his hotness too. She was saying that she almost walked into the x-ray room [there is a door into the new file room there] and she said he was singing, it startled her. I even told her, I could have sworn I've seen this guy. My gut was telling me it was from Canadian Idol, but that's just silly. I'm crrraaaazy.

Apparently, I'm not so crazy. I just remembered and decided to 'google' him. Sure enough, the guy was on Canadian Idol. So hah! I'm not crazy, yay. Still, now I'm completely kicking myself. I mean c'mon the guy was hot and a total sweet heart and like the same age. Probably has a girlfriend [update....no gf, but wife], but who cares, he was just completely a sweet guy. I'm not going to name names, because that's against everything I stand for, plus I could bet in big trouble for it. So you can all thank PHIA for never knowing who it was. Still, damn. Damn. That's really all. Damn. Why couldn't I remember exactly where I recognized him from. Mind you I'm sure that would have completely been embarrassing for him, but still. Shucks. We can always hope he needs some again, right? Right? hehe

Any ways, I just felt like sharing a day in the life of an idiot.

Laters.

In for a wild night...

...thanks to the world of mother nature and her need to let it all out. Just now it has started to pour out there. Extremely loud thunder now accompanies the lightening that has been going on for the past two hours. Here's hoping the power doesn't go out. Luckily enough I have this lap top, but for how long if the power goes in and out, like every other rain storm.

Not much going on. Just my normal daily business. Kali nuts, people are crazy and catching up on Smallville (damn you James Marsters).

See me and Smallville have always had this sort of hate relationship. This was the show that replaced my 'Roswell.' Very similar premise. Both dark hair, he's from another planet and she's the girl-next-door. I avoided it but eventually watched a bit but finally was able to get past it, partly because the channel I was watching it on was completely unreliable and I never knew went to find it.

With the word that James Marsters was joining the show, I figured I might as well get caught up. My brother does own all the seasons available on DVD, so no loss there. Just very very time consuming. Of course this previous season (or rather the season that just completely this past May), I've seen bits and pieces so it's all feeling a tad too much deja-vu. No biggie.

I love the rain. Yes, I feel like repeating that. There is something about the rain that always gets to me. Very soothing, the best way to fall asleep is listening to the rain. The best is running in the rain, but it's not exactly the warmest weather to be outside in the rain. The only downfall is that my dog believes thunder is the enemy. She like to bark at it. She's starting to really prove she's nuts.

As it is, my baby is nuts. She has decided to bark at cats who apparently like to sit on own back fence and little kids. She's extremely nuts. Speaking of cats, my brother and I saw the most hiliarious thing today. We were in the car and behind a car that had their cat with them. Sure nothing funny about that, but the spot where the cat was sitting was mildy amusing. The cat was actually sitting on the top of the driver's seat. To me I'd think that would be a hazard but hey it looked hiliarious. My brother now feels Kali should be taught to do that. I could just see it now. The front page of the paper "Woman dies as a result of dog sitting on head rest."

No agenda party tonight :( Carla apparently believes her "family" is more important. hehe. But we're still hoping for tomorrow night as the new night, but only time will tell.

Actually I'm really excited about something. Sugar Mountain is going to be carrying the infamous Pic-a-pop. Woot! I used to love that stuff. Of course it's going to cost an arm and a leg, but regardless it's coming back. Even more reason to get to the actual Sugar Mountain location. YAY!!! I swear if I get there I'm bound to pay lots and lots of money for some good ol' sugar. Yummy yummy!!!!

Plus only two weeks until Veronica Mars. YAY!!! Double yay that Joss Whedon is going to appear on VM. How cool is that? All these awesome people coming out and saying how cool VM is, it's fantabulous. The only problem is that VM is on at the same time as LOST. Now that SUCKS!!

Of course, it's a no brainer for me. I'd rather watch VM than Lost, but still, it's sucky. So excited though. Not as excited for ALIAS though. Stupid stupid writers, etc.. GRRR. I watched the season premiere of 'Gilmore Girls' and I thought it was ok. I knew what Luke was going to say to Lorelai, it was only obvious.

Ah well, I digress...

Well my homies it's time for me check out for the night. Later days...

Trucking through...

It's Monday? What happened to the days when weekends seemed to last forever? Childhood, perhaps?

Sigh.

Good news, back to walking and typing at the same time. The problem with this is that I can only do it whilst my brother is not at home or has not taken the computer with him. Usually this leaves me very little options. Unless I know he's at the bar, almost a given the computer is mine for a loooooooooong time.

How did my weekend go? Meh, I am still realing from yesterday's events, but it was nice. It was great to see everyone. With school back in the swing of things, everyone is busy with getting an education. Silly me, already completely finished am left to tweetle my thumbs waiting for open opportunity from my friends.

I know, I just need more friends. I shall call them Llone (Lynnsey's clone), Calone (Carla's clone) and Therone (Theresa's clone). I must admit this idea did seem a lot more amusing in my head and not as it is in writing. Deal with it people. Some of us are stuck living in a world with Transconians and two year courses. Boo hoo hoo.

Ok, I'm better now. Seriously.

Nice, peaceful day at work. Everyone (meaning patients) were all relatively in good moods. When people are like that, I get to be nice. Nice is good. Tomorrow shall be nice too, for there will be no ALF. Yippee. Mind you, I had two full days without ALF last week. Ah, those were the days.

Went out for dinner with the girls from work tonight. It was alright. We went to Tony Romas. I was totally disappointed. I looked at a menu online and it showed this BBQ pork sandwich, but of course in the actual restaurant there was no such an item. So I left feeling totally blue. Mind I did have to sit next to ALF and not really visit with any one else (or at least the ones I don't normally see that often). Oh well. I'm not sure if I'm so keen on these dinners though. They just seem so forced now. This person doesn't want this person there, or they think this person doesn't really "fit-in." Just stupid. Maybe I'll skip the next one, after all they are planning for Red Lobster.

Wow I am actually getting really tired. Sadly I've only been on the treadmill for 20 minutes. I need more time, but am still very stuffed from dinner. Oh well, I shall percevere, for I vow to get in shape, or at least get a shape, lol.

Later days...

Sleeeepy....

....and oddly enough feel like the Stay Puft marshmallow man from 'Ghostbusters.' Sadly I think he was a little bit cuter. Still, yummm big marshmallow. When big dairy milk bars and graham crackers decide to attack be sure to call me.

I slept in a little too late, so now I feel like I've slept my day away. Plus nothing, food wise, looks appealing to me. Maybe it was the interrupted sleep? Stupid family. Poor Kali though. In a drunken stupor poor Kali was put outside and forgotten for a few hours, by my brother. Luckily enough my mom woke up and found her there. Now she's afraid to go outside. Can't say I don't blame her. My family is nuts, seriously.

I can't believe it's already almost mid-September. If my life passes me any faster, the next thing I know I will be 85. Crazy. Makes me want to go and make a list of things I need to accomplish by that time. Actually I did have a list like that years ago, I probably still have it. I probably still have a lot of crap. Last year's big purge took the majority of it but I'm sure I still have some old "junk."

Well homies, I think it's time I find food, although I don't really need it or want it.

Later days!

Brother, Aurora borealis and other nonsense

This is why I say my dog is possessed. I take her outside to look at the northern lights and I get this. SCARY.

Well my friends just left. Sucky for me because I had to miss the end of our little 'Ghostbuster' marathon. Stupid brother. Well I guess the alternative is far worse, but still. The boy owes me big, very big. Something about a drunk 20 year old driving seems bad, doncha know.

At least I got to see the amazing Northern Lights. They are always amazing. I'd love to go up north and see them, and someday I will, you just watch and see.

Now I'm just waiting for the phone call to go and pick him up from the bar. Who goes to the bar for only an hour any way? I guess him, that's who. But seeing how the girls he went with were already heavily drunk, I can only imagine their condition when I pick them up at the bar. Ah the joys of alcohol.

Other than that, things are as per usual. Work has been an interesting place this week but that's not anything out of the ordinary. Mind you I am going to miss the contractors/demolishers, they are nice eye candy. During lunch yesterday, they were bending, lifting and carrying heavy objects all right in front of me. Nothing beats lunch entertainment like that. Sadly two of them are married, but ogling was never illegal, right?

New seasons of tv are coming up in the next few weeks, yippee!! I have even managed to stay spoiler free for Veronica Mars. I totally ruined 'Alias' for myself, but there was no choice there, it was hard to avoid the spoilerage. Barely any of the new shows this season look interesting. There are the odd few I will check out or have already checked out but nothing too great like last year's 'Veronica Mars.'

I have already checked out 'Prison Break' and 'Reunion' and I was sort of confused with both because I happened to catch both midway through the episode so only time will tell. At least some of the shows are mixing up my actors from my other previous favorite shows. For example 'Kitchen Confidential' is pairing up Bradley Cooper (Alias' Will) with Nicholas Brendan (Buffy's Xander), while 'How I Met Your Mother' pairs Alyson Hannigan (Buffy's Willow/Veronica Mars' Trina) with Jason Seigel (Freaks and Geeks' Nick). It's just a continuation of the perpetual cross-overs of my favorite dead shows. Sigh.

Well I'm off, for the phone shall ring momentarily. I hope.
