Any one catch "Grey's Anatomy"?

I wasn't sure if I wanted to watch it, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Turns out it wasn't all that bad, I actually enjoyed it. I was major skeptical about it due to working in a hospital and because it had Katherine Heigl in it. Yes yes, she's from roswell, but she always rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. Plus me and hosptial based shows, usually annoy me (except scrubs, it's too funny). But on the up side it has Patrick Dempsey, total hottie. I loved him in 'Sweet Home Alabama,' plus he takes me back to some of those old 80s movies that were corny and such, ie 'Can't buy me love'. But I actually really enjoyed the show. It's interesting. I suggest others to watch it too. It's about a bunch of surgical residents during their first year at the hospital. It just seemed fresh and different from what is out there. So here's hoping it continues to keep my interest, because many shows don't any more. I'll just wait and see.

The queen of blogs is....

... not me, that's for darn sure.

As it's been two weeks (well 13 days) since my last actual post, I will be stepping down from my self-proclaimed "blog queen" title and passing it onto Lynnsey, for she has been posting a hundred times more than I. I beseech you to use with responsibly.

Regarding me, not a whole hell of a lot has been happening. Just the usual crap. Dipshit is threating to quit, yet again. I rarely have receptionist and it's still sort of quiet at work.

New things that happened is we finally met the new manager. It seems promising so I have my fingers crossed. Anything can be better than what we have now, so here's hoping. My waiting room might actually get re-painted and carpet removed, so that's good, right? Only bad thing was the day the current and soon to be manager and someone else from head office came I'd only had 2 patients - it was only 11 am. That's all I needed.

Yes, not a very good day for me. Yet I was up to about 5 patients around lunch (an hour after they left). So now I'm big on rationalizing my job and them not closing me down (I am still bringing in money, but how much in comparasion to all the ordering of supplies and my salary?). I hate being a grown up.

In other news, I finally got my baby vaccinated. Yay! I was only 2½ weeks late. I'm a bad mommy, maybe I should never have children, for they'll catch all sorts of diseases cause I forgot to take them to be all shot up. Oh well, now she's safe, still crazy as ever, but safe for now.

Oh and I finally got to see "Bride and Prejudice." Cute movie. Full of romantic cheesiness, but still cute. Especially weird seeing "sayid" from lost. He was singing and dancing and it was so adorable. But I could have sworn his voice sounded different, better. So much hotter here though. All I know is that, the mother's character was hiliarious.


Other than that, all normal as usual. Still clutzy and trying to injury myself daily, so it's all good. No complaints.

Well time to some "fun fun fun" organzing in my room. ugh!

It actually only took an hour

It appears luck was on my side. I was actually in and out of the hospital within an hour and a few minutes. Yay luck. Boo cold, yay luck.

Appears this is a full blown cold now. I don't think I've ever had a cold where my eyes keep watering up like my crying. It was kind of amusing mind you. We're just driving in the car when I start just crying. Or rather my eyes are just running, as with my nose and my two plugged up ears. Oh the joys of a cold.

All I can say is I love benilyn all for one.

Yes, every weekend I actually dread the phone ringing. Especially when it's for me. In my mind it's always the hospital phoning last minute to give me a shift, meaning my lounging around is cancelled or whatever.

Sure enough, the phone rang and they need me. I knew it was them, I told my mom to ignore but nooooo she answered it. At least they didn't call just before 8 or something like usually.

Even worse is that it's just a lousy 3 hour test for the gallbladder. Last time I had to do it, it took more than the 3 hours and another time less than an hour. But of course this time it will be more than 3 hours, pissing me right off. I don't know why they have to phone someone in. Seriously, last time they were all just sitting around while I was working. How fair is that? Even better it's at 13:00 (right in the middle of the day).

Of course I didn't have to say yes, but by the time they phone me, I'm the last hope (how sad is that).

I'm just tired and sick with a cold, yet I'm still going to help them. UGH!!! What is wrong with me? Then again it's not like I had plans for the day, when do I ever have plans. Never, that's right.

Damn phone. I sometimes think I should never answer it on the weekend...

Has it already been a week....

....but what a week it was. Wow!

Let's see it all started with going out shopping with my parent. Mainly to avoid the phone, but that's another issue. Any hoo, we were looking at flooring and living room decor, etc.. etc.. Boring, I assure you.

Each time we passed a dealership I'd hint that I wanted to just look at cars, namely Toyota and it's echo. I just wanted to look, nothing more. Just get a feel for it all, that way when I was really truly ready I'd have an excellent idea of what I wanted.

Finaly my dad caved in and we went. Of course we're pounced on when we walk in the door, but whatever. Saw the car, got in it, loved it. I even went as far as test drove it. The rest is history. Of course I didn't go out and buy it that day or anything. I need to think about it...

By Monday, the thinking was over and I was at the dealership buying a car. Woot! By Thursday I was picking up my car. My god did all those times at the dealership take a chunk out of my day. Man, that was the only drawback, it took forever. Oh well now I have my own car, yay! Best of all, the financing rate went down (because March is red tag days) plus I got more off because the graduate program. Plus I didn't need a co-sign.Yay!! Even my monthly payments went down by a lot because of the change in percent and the grad program. Go graduating!!

So yes, I finally have my own car. It's now black (because it was that or a 5 door or waiting at least a month for a silver one- not the option for me) but I'm happy. I think I like the black better.

Strange week though. I went from just going to look at a car, to having my own car parked in the drive-way. Of course it means less money for me, but meh. Next comes the awesome trip somewhere next year. Preferrably somewhere warm during the winter. Yeah that would be nice...

The only bad thing about this week was the fact I've been sick. Hopefully I'm not the reason you're sick Lynnsey, but if I am sorry. I blame my patients, yes, let's blame them. See I get better, then I get sick again. I think this was the first time I remained sick the whole week. I wasn't too sick to go to work or anything, just lots of headaches, coughing, sore throats, congestion and such. Today I have the joy of a plugged ear, always fun. Every time I blow my nose it hurts worse and sometimes it clears only to replug seconds later. Damn you cold season!!! Maybe I'll start wearing a mask at work, lol. I can see it now, "patients afraid to get x-rays due to technologist wearing a mask." Oh boy...
